Today is the 12th February 2008 . . .

My accounts contract job starts today . =/ . Well well, not a good start though, got lost on my way to work, so no choice, i hadda alight and board a taxi instead . =( . Was a little late though .

Went there, got to the company security, jammed a bit because i had no pass to show myself as a staff of the company ( though temproary ), so the security dialled up to the HR department and asked . Finally i can enter, he told me walk straight and turn right . I did, and got lost . =.= . See ? Told ya people i had no sense of direction already . Lol . Then i saw a lady walking outta one door at a corner so i hurried and asked her for direction . She told me to dial the extension to the HR department at the reception counter . I did, and the office is just one level up . Haha . Then i went in and filled in the application form, although i already signed the contract, but i think they need my personal particulars for reference of something . That took away half an hour before i was handed over to the accounts department to start work .

You guys will never think i'll do this for this job - filing . I mean i would not think of that . Those documents can piled up to my hips that high and i'm suppose to tidy them and place them according to banks and dates, punched holes and put them in files then label them nicely . My hand got cut by the paper like some cutting seasons ! Then lunch break, lift up my mood somehow, but then pulled it down further . I filed so much things for almost four hours and my lunch break is only 30 minutes . =.= ! The canteen . . . has only one stall that sells 菜饭, where they give you rice ( that's what they have only ) and then you choose your own sides . I had rice with long beans, celery and some cabbage for S$1.70 . Yeah, i'm going to be a nun soon, all veggies, yucks ! I'm not eating the canteen food anymore ! Then back to work, finally they let me do some accounts related stuffs - handle Payment Orders ( PO ) . Fun, but tedious, took me the entire afternoon from after lunch break to knock off i did only two PO from two companies . =/ .

I got my own desk - wooden tables, rollers chair and a computer . The entire office is very very shabby and there's this strong coffee smell that hangs in the air . Whatever, sad thing is . . . the system is down today, so i'm unfortunate to not have any computers to use . Maybe i'll have tomorrow . =) . And hopefully i can use MSN and talk a bit to Er Jie . =))) . If you're to ask me how i feel about this job after my first day, i would say i feel 100% unsafe . Not because of what, but the feeling is undescribable, i wanna work there, but no friends, and i know nothing when i have no one to rely on, it's scary . The only thing for me to feel safe - quit . But i will not, will not unless i really got my reason good enough to throw a month's pay to that company for termination of contract . I shall hang on, i shall perservere . =( . Wish me luck people .

I'm damn tired from the PO thingy . Gonna turn in early tonight . =/ . Goodnight pals !
